Oaks Boutique Blogger Event

On Thursday night I attended my first bloggers event which was hosted by Oaks Boutique. It’s a great little place located in the Roundhay area of Leeds. We arrived just as all the excitement was kicking off. The lovely ladies hosting the event made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The whole event was carried with a friendly charm.

As soon as I entered the shop I was attracted to this place and I knew I ‘d visit again soon. It all has a very chic comeliness to it. I was taken by two rails, they were certainly calling out to me. One of them was full of pink pastel clothing and the other one was full of blue pastels. I have always been  fond of pastel shades and now they’re coming back into fashion I couldn’t take my eyes away from them!

Actually every single rail was full of unique pieces of clothing, all different styles and a mixture of different materials. I love places like this, I’m not someone who particularly likes to dress up like in popular pieces, I like to create my own style and therefore Oaks Boutique is the ideal place for girls like me. This is not a place you would just nip in and nip out. You do feel like you have to go through all the pieces of clothing and because of their uniqueness you don’t know what lovely piecse to go for!

There was a sweater that caught me as soon as I saw it. The amazing mixture of pastel colours made it all fairy like! Have a look at the picture below, isn’t it amazing? Even though I love pastel shades (they seem to work well with my skin tone), there were two pieces of clothing I absolutely fell in love with! One of them I had to get! Dark blue floaty pants that are ideal for summer, they fitted like they’re were made just for me. The other piece was a grey full length floaty skirt, another amazing piece that I can imagine wearing on the weekend, as well as for work.

Oaks has organised a competition as well, we had to pick three favourite pieces, so mine would be: their black purse with a snake pattern on it (viz picture, the one in the middle), the grey floaty skirt and the beautiful sweater!

Oaks Boutique also does very pretty accessories! Amazing statement necklaces, lovely bracelets, as well as their new collection of shoes and handbags. For their regular updates and more pictures of their collection, check out their Facebook page and their Instagram!

I had a wonderful time at Oaks Boutique, met some great people and found out a new place to shop! I just wish I wouldn’t have left my camera at home, my iphone camera is really not good at all. We were definitely spoilt by the hostesses that treated us like they would treat a queen, the goodie bags were full of amazing surprises! Mine contained a blue leopard print scarf, a nice looking black purse and a very pretty gold bracelet. Lovely pieces to blog about soon!

I can’t wait for spring to start so I can wear my new floaty trousers! I’ll sure be writing a post about them soon, so don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin!
