Picking a wedding guest dress is never a simple task. Finding a dress that is not only pretty, stylish, and fits perfectly, but is also comfortable enough to wear all day can be a nightmare.
This versatile Warehouse dress can be worn in any season and styled with any shoe/bag combination. I’m quite fond of it for another reason. It’s amazing at giving me shape, but it’s simple and plain at the same time. Beautiful for a date or even for a work interview, but a wedding guest dress? I wanted to stand out from the crowd, so I had to let my imagination to run wild to change this simple blue dress into a crowd puller while keeping it classy. I teamed this blue dress with a pastel necklace from New Look (I can see myself wearing this pretty piece quite often this summer). The pastel pink belt is a nice addition and complements the dress as well as staying in tune with the colours of the necklace. The cute ribbon on the belt is also a very nice touch, isn’t it!
Regarding the shoes and the clutch, I had two options available based on my wardrobe availabilities to create this spring wedding look. Option number one: were beige shoes combined with a beige clutch. A pretty safe option if you ask me, but I felt quite adventurous that day so I decided to go for my maroon Dorothy Perkins heels matched with my new New Look clutch in the same colour. I believe that this colour scheme still works, as it’s all within the same or similar tones.
I had an amazing time at the wedding, both bride and groom looked spectacular, the venue was lovely, great group of friends and it was actually very sunny and warm that day! What more can you wish for!
What do you think about my wedding guest dress, did I master the class or how would you style it in my place?
