I love dresses and dressing up for any occasion. There is something very special to me about the whole process of getting ready that I love. I find it very relaxing, especially because I have a whole procedure around it and I try to enjoy it as much as I can. Simply “ME TIME“!
I usually start the night before, I put my favourite music on, I dance around – with a clay mask on my face, I enjoy a relaxing bath with some Lush bath bombs, followed by the fake tan aplication, then I do my nails and sometimes I even drink a cucumber water! The whole spa experience from the comfort of my own home, right? Sometimes, I swap the water for a glass of wine. After all this, the next day is super easy, all I have to do is put the make up on, style my hair and dress up – no messing around. Love it!
It’s exactly one year since I went to a wedding last time (there is something so
romantic about spring weddings, isn’t it?). That time I wrote my guide
on How to style a simple wedding guest dress, so don’t forget to check it out! My motto is that you can always look your best, no matter what’s your budget! High street shops are full of wedding guest dresses perfect for this spring summer season or you can simply re style the one that you already own! I found it really hard to pick a dress for this wedding as there were so many lovely dresses in shops but the one that stand out among them all is this Oasis Jasmin Bird dress. It was everything I wanted for this spring wedding.
Patterns doesn’t always have to be bold and this Oasis dress had it all with birds and flowers. The vintage cut also brought a very girly vibe to it. I kept the rest very simple, nude wedge sandals from Next and some simple accessories. We’ve just moved into a new house and unfortunately we haven’t managed to get all our stuff from the storage. Twenty minutes before we were supposed to set off I’d realised, I didn’t have any heels in the house! Quick trip to Next (fortunately close to our house) and I found these beauties. I was very lucky, wasn’t I? They were super comfy and I can already tell they’ll be my go to heels this summer season.
I do tend to opt out for an easy and simple wedding guest dresses. Soft
prints and colours are perfectly acceptable for any wedding and I adored
the freshness and lightness of the look I ended up with. First spring mode of action and I’m all over these bright flirty summer dresses.
What about you, lovelies? What’s you perfect wedding guest dress?
