Review: Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush

Review: Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush

I love a good beauty bargain and this one certainly was. I’ve discovered the Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush while I was chasing after adventures last summer. I was waiting at the airport for a plane to take me far far away when my eyes landed on this soft pink shade. And as I said, I do love a good bargain and I have a soft spot for new lipsticks. It would have been impossible not to go for this beauty since it was a duty free.

Ever since I’ve discovered the Kiss and Blush stick it became my number one lipstick to carry in my make up mag. You get what you pay for with this product, and I don’t regret spending
my hard earned money. Retail price is around £28.50, but I believe I paid £22 at the airport.

Texture & Colour:
Yves Saint Laurent describes this beauty product as a whipped mousse and I couldn’t agree more! The texture is very soft which creates a very radiant matte finish on your lips. The pigmentation is quite rich and that makes it easily buildable for a soft and natural look to a more intense and yet sophisticated look.

I’ve already mentioned in my previous beauty posts that I have very dry lips, therefore it is incredibly important that my lipsticks don’t show any imperfections. Yves Saint Laurent Kiss & Blush is perfect for this reason as it fills all flawes making my lips look healthy and fuller.

Another reason why I’ve become captured by Yves Saint Laurent Kiss & Blush is it’s longetivity. I would estimate 3 hours top – which is more than you get with other lipsticks.

Application:
This beauty hybrid has a hidden pearl applicator that allows you to fully spread the formula on the lips and cheeks. You can create a soft look by applying one layer but I prefer 2-3 layers to recreate a more playful look.

A small bit of advice, make sure you moisturise your skin before you use it on your cheeks, blends perfectly.

Conclusion:
Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush helps me to create a versatile look with an attractive soft matte finish. It’s perfect to match with smokey copper eyes right now…. during the summer. The shade of pink on my cheeks is flattering, lends my skin the perfect flawless feel and is perfect for the spring summer look.

Your photos in this post are so beautiful! I've heard mixed reviews about this product. How well does it work on cheeks? I never know how dual use products will work because the texture is so strange!

Hey Kal, I've only heard the good reviews 🙂 I do love it on the lips but because of the price, I barely use it on my cheeks as I would have to go through a lot of them! Texture is just fine on both of them, hope that helps Xx
