Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end but that certainly doesn’t mean holiday season is over! Actually, I decided it’s not over until I so! I still have a few holiday outfit posts that I would love to share with you, lovely readers, so back off autumn!
The look I was hoping to achieve was inspired by timeless Spanish theme and it had to be a breezy simple outfit for the brutal Spanish heat. To finish the whole look I went for oversized earrings with a wooden effect and curled my hair to stay in tune with the Spanish trend. This trend adds some flare to a plain look and you should definitely try it!
A pleated midi skirt is a must for any season at the moment and I believe it should especially be a part of any summer wardrobe as it’s easily matched. Plain figure-hugging floaty midi skirt is probably one of the favourite classic
wears. It can be coordinated in different styles, both a professional chic for the office and a fun, flirty look for the after-hours party with friends. So what style did I go for?
When styling this pleated navy blue Dorothy Perkins skirt, I instantly knew I found my match when I opted for this sleeveless printed blouse. It is my “special occasion” top, I’m being very careful not to destroy it by wearing it too often. Do you wonder why? This style screams sophistication and since I bought it three years ago, I haven’t seen anything similar in the shops. I love the blended colours, I love the style – but I adore the most the the bow neck tie. So elegant, don’tyu think?
When it came down to shoes I chose my black Next flip flops that I thrifted
in last summer. These have been my go-to shoes two summers in a row and I’m not complaining. I’m sure you’re all aware as you can see them in nearly all of my holiday outfits. Nevertheless when you find a fashion item that is chic, edgy and comfortable, then you have no other choice but to surrender. Sadly, I’m worried that the last two holidays got the best of them and I’m desperately searching the shopping world for a new pair like this.
This pleated skirt has certianly become my go to item and I can’t wait to layer it up and see what other looks I can come up with. Especially now the weather took turn for the worst. What is your favourite style of wearing a pleated skirt? Do you prefer something more classy or flirty?
