During summer I attended a Bonmarche fashion event in Leeds where we were introduced to their AW 2015 fashion range. It was a night full of fashion, bang on trends, drinks and other little refreshments. I actually went there with my blogging and working friend Laura from Top Style Advice and we certainly made the evening into a fun time! We started with a cheeky (large) glass of wine after work, had some nibbles at Bella Italia and then we headed to Lamberts yard, where the event took place.
Upon our arrival we were welcomed by lovely hostesses, given free drink vouchers for the bar and also had our pictures taken (really nice touch), yay! After that it was time to mingle! The great thing about these kind of fashion events is that you meet a lot of other minds that share the passion for fashion with you. You can also get inspired by other bloggers as they tend to be experimental with their wardrobe. Hence the fun starts even before the catwalk.
What was original about the AW15 Bonmarche fashion event was the fact that it was modelled by ordinary girls. You see, they got a brilliant idea that their fashion pieces should be presented by ordinary women, to prove their fashion collection is for us, normal girls! The models were volunteers and as a matter of fact, some of them were my blogging friends! They did a fantastic job, daring to stand and walk the isle in front of others, especially when you have to do it in front of other bloggers snapping away with their cameras. For that I applaud them!
Well, with no further ado, let’s start!
