I’m sitting in my blogging armchair, listening to my favourite playlist on Spotify – currently humming to Starsailor – and thinking out loud “how the best describe my normal blogging day”. You know, the one where I don’t get to do anything else apart from taking pictures – lots – and spilling my thoughts into the wide cyber world. I’ve been wanting to share this post with you for an absolute ages but you know, life happens. But today was the day when I got to do nothing related to life outside and everything related to the life on the internet.
I woke up in the morning full of big plans for the day. I wanted to go for a run, wash those piles of clothes and scrub my humble dwelling from the top to the bottom.
So that was the plan…how do you think it went?
My Morning Spot: Bed
My Morning Refreshment: Overnight oats with fruit
My Morning Drink: Freshly squeezed Lemon water
Blogging Activity: Twitter and Instagram, Blog comments
I managed to get out of the bed just before 10am. After 2 hours long session on Instagram and Twitter. Well hello, it’s called social media, I needed to be social. Sometimes, if I get lucky, my husband brings me a breakfast to bed (…that happens very often).
I also read blogs at this time. I love being drifted on lines of other bloggers’ work. You’re the most inspiring!
After I crawled out and did all the morning chores such as wash my face and changed my pajamas into something more weekend appropriate, I find myself lured towards the one spot in the kitchen….
My Midday Spot: Armchair
My Midday Refreshment: banoffee pie
My Midday Drink: Double Espresso and a large glass of water
Blogging Activity: Picture time
…I turned the coffee machine on and soon enough my kitchen was filled
with the luring smell of freshly brewed coffee – double espresso – my
morning pick up and the best friend.
This is the moment my husband usually peeks
into kitchen to see if there is any left for him as well, grabs his portion and returns to his music room again.
This is the time I also get to take hundred and fifty pictures of my coffee in different positions with different backgrounds with different treats in different mugs (back me up here, I’m not the only one, right?!)….so I can then share with the Twitter & Instagram world. Well, you know the Saturday morning classic.
This is also the time I take pictures for my blog as there is the most natural sun light in my rooms – something really hard to come by during these dark winter days.
My Afternoon Spot: Armchair
My Afternoon Refreshment: a bowl of fruits
My Afternoon Drink: Tea pot full of tea – Rose Petal Black tea
Blogging Activity: Writing up post
(…after an hour or two of a long post-lunch nap, watching Harry Potter or some sort of fantasy I return to my blogging activity…)
This is the time to sink into my “blogging armchair” a gem I bought from an Ikea and now I cannot live without. It has also become a dedicated spot for my blogging. And it’s a place where I currently sit (me-waving-hello) writing this post up.
If you were here sat with me, you could smell the fresh fragrance of summer.
When I close your eyes I can see myself sitting in a garden surrounded by flowers, it’s summer and I feel sun rays tickling my face and. That smell would me my freshly made tea, green tea with blooming flower.
Once I’m all settled, I’m in my zone. I try to write up to 3 posts in the afternoon but due to my “diarrhea of words” (I just don’t know when to stop) I only manage to finish 1-2 post and draw 2-3 drafts. I tend to write loads, whatever comes to my mind and my intuition tells me to but then I end
up with a whole new book rather that a post so I have to edit and delete loads.
I love expressing my thoughts on the imaginary paper of the blogging world, it’s something so incredibly rewording, creative and beautiful. Do you also feel this way?
My Evening Spot: Sofa
My Evening Refreshment: Nuts
My Evening Drink: Glass of wine or a bottle of beer (I’m over 30, no children -so don’t judge 😉 )
Blogging Activity: Picture editing
Scheduling new posts
As the day comes to the end, my mind is getting tired and my location changes. This is the time I relocate to my sofa. But before that it’s time to help my husband and cook ourselves a dinner. It’s about time as he’s been nervously walking around me, trying to catch my attention every 30 seconds…Men when they are hungry, right 😉 Tonight is steak with sweet potatoes. Nom Nom!
This is also my favourite time of the day. It’s dark outside…and raining again. I get very dreamy when I listen to rain drops fall down the window…dreamy and cosy, because I’m sat here, wrapped in my blanket and I feel very fortunate.
I get to edit pictures I’ve taken throughout the day. I also explore the YouTube world of videos and learn different trick with LightRoom. Life is beautiful when you get to do things you enjoy and love.
And then? Night night lovelies!
What do you do when you get the rare opportunity to sacrifice your whole day to blogging? Or what would your ideal blogging day look like?

So glad to hear, Jasmine!I wish a day has more hours so I can fit everything I want to do into it. Maybe one day 😉

I really wish I have this much time more often, but we all know it's so hard, isn't it. Xx
Fabulous post. I wish I could have more time to focus on blogging. It sometimes frustrates me when some people underestimate how time consuming blogging is.

Exactly my words Iza, especially when we try our best. Taking and editing good quality pictures takes time and so does writing a good post. All we can do is keep up the good work 😉 Xx
Wow, 2-3 posts in the afternoon is a lot! I really enjoyed reading your post as my blogging days are so different to yours :))

I did say I try, haha. Sometimes I manage to draft them only but it's the dedication that counts, right Xx
Beautiful blog
Thank you Bee Xx
this is a beautiful post and is kind of what my Saturdays look like as well. I like dedicating a day to my blogging, if not two days a week! x

I wish I could do 2 full days, that would be just wonderful! Good luck with your blogging Xx
Sounds like a perfect day. If I got a day to dedicate to blogging it would probably look similar, but with picture starting earlier for that natural sunlight

It's too dark in winter, I struggle with natural light in my house, but it's a different story during summer. I wish there is more sunny days in the UK Xx
I agree this sounds like my ideal day! I'm trying out the flat lay photography lately but the lighting is terrible in my apartment and by the time I get home from work it is way too dark! I wish I had time to dedicate to writing 2-3 posts in one sitting!! My dream…definitely!
Melanie | Blog: Toots + Dill
Aww, I understand Mel, I had to improvise with different background to make my pictures brighter as where I live is yellow and dark, ha! I manage to do 2-3 posts only if I dedicate it whole afternoon, I aim for just few hours but that's not the case at the minute. One day, right 🙂
Thanks for posting. As a relatively new blogger I appreciate hearing how others manage. I'm feeling inspired to write…as soon as I've brewed myself a pot of tea!
Ahh, I'm so glad I could inspire you. Good luck with your blogging, hope you get far! Xx
This was such a lovely post to read! I can relate to so many of the things you do on your blogging days, such an ideal day for me! Photography is also my worst nightmare during the winter months, bring back the days it's light all the time! So nice to find your blog, your posts are lovely to read, and your photos are great too! x
Ami | perksofbeingami
Thank you Ami, it's always very nice to read nice and positive comments and to see other bloggers have the same day to day struggles! Xx
It's a tough life, but somebody's got to do it! Obvs, my days would be just like yours if it weren't for those pesky children, irritating PPI calls, never-ending laundry piles etc. Still, one day I'll have KonMari'd my life enough so I can devote time to sparking joy through my blog. Aspirational stuff!
Ahh, I hear you! I only get to do it once in a while but I do wish it's more often! I try to clean the house/wash the clothes during the week so I don't have to during weekends…but it's tough, isn't it! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment Xx
Sounds like an amazing day. Lucky you! Gorgeous photos. 🙂

Ah sounds like bliss, there's nothing better than having a whole guilt free day to spend on your blog! You never realise how much time it takes up before all of a sudden it's evening!
