Fur fur fur. You can spot it anywhere this season.

From hats and handbags to stoles and coats. Winter accessories are practically covered in faux fur this winter season. These wonderful touches of fur made an impressive statement on New York runways and now the streets are full of them. Who can blame a girl?

We just adore warm cosy fashion pieces, especially if it makes us look glamorous. Let’s face it, winter fashion pieces tends to be more about the warmth than the glamour. However fashion designers have embraced the challenge long time ago and created trendy winter pieces. Now high street joined the hype and every new winter season I find myself discovering more and more glamorous winter pieces.

Let’s talk coats!

Keeping up appearances isn’t easy when it’s practically freezing outside but there is no chance I’m  going to let the dreary weather spoil my style this winter season. I wanted a winter piece that would keep me warm but I also wanted to look elegant. This was when I spotted this faux fur coat in New Look and even though I’m kind of skint this Christmas (and who isn’t) I decided to invest. It was a good decision. and this coat is surely becoming my best friend during this cold season. It’s the perfect street style fashion item but has also proved to be very handy this party season!

When it comes to winter accessories, I love my felted hat. Apart from the fact, it’s very trendy, it also protected me from rain! I have written about winter fashion accessories on my blog previously, when I teamed up with Joe Browns and did a photoshoot right in the middle of Leeds city centre, so don’t forget to read that!

The black pony hair ankle booties are from Office and ever since I got them last season, I’ve been wearing them nonstop. They add texture and flair to any plain outfit and really go with my new black faux fur coat. They’ve already made their appearance at my “poncho outfit post”  where I’m matching them with my Dune leopard print bag.

Talking about Dune handbags…

…they are my favourite kind. Stylish, elegant and always trendy. Nonetheless, they are also pricey. I’m a bargain hunter so I was pretty chuffed when I came across LoveTheSale website. Why? Because they do handbag sales! I got my Dune tote bag for 30% off and saved £22, they just have the best high street and designer brands at affordable prices!

I’m particularly smitten by its colour, deep dark red is my favourite. And what do you know, it matches my shellac manicure. When it comes to beauty and make up, I’m sporting my signature red lips, MAC Ruby Woo!

Coat: New Look // Top: Oasis // Jeans: Mango // Boots: Office // Bag: Dune // Hat: Primark

This winter look was put together on a whim and the outcome was better than I expected. I had a brunch with my hubby this morning, did some Christmas shopping and took these pictures on the way back. I meant to take these in streets of Leeds but it was raining heavily so I had to hide under trees in the park where rain couldn’t reach us. It would spoil the pictures, making them all blurry. Oh the challenges of a blogger during winter.

What is your favourite statement piece this winter?

Yours truly,
