Outfit Post: The Girl in the Dress and the Graffiti Wall

Outfit Post: Little Black Dress and the Graffiti Wall

“Oh the joyous weekend days when you get enjoy the little spare time you have, these are the best.”

I recently attended #TheMurderOnThePoshFloor event and the dress code was: “Dress to Impress”. Challenge accepted. When deciding what to wear I automatically went for the  latest addition into my wardrobe. The little black dress from LaRedoute, that I kindly received after their Christmas event. You see, they know how to treat a girl and gifted everyone with their favorite piece from the night.

“One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.”…Karl  Lagerfeld

Let’s talk about my black lace dress and how did I wear it.

What is so special about little black dresses? To me, they are summary of all beautiful, feminine and glamourous. This staple piece is ideal for any occasion and by adding a little bit of lace, you are guaranteed everyone will turn their heads.

My LaRedoute number is a gorgeous long sleeved knee-length black lace dress. I adore the black lace detail as it’s great for creating drama. I kind of like cute girly dresses and the skater skirt on this dress is an added a flirty option when you’re looking for a cute outfit.

Accessorizing my little black dress:

Oh what can I add to the little black dress besides the usual black or silver accesories pieces? Sure, it’s basic black so it will go with any color, but
sometimes getting the balance of accessories with the fabric
or shape of the dress is the tricky part.

I went for the classic pairing of black and red, but to keep it from being too garish I decided only on a red necklace my parents brught me from France. Keeping it simple yet playful.

To top it off, I added black faux fur coat from New Look for a fun and glamorous look. I always find that teaming your lace dresses with faux fur can result in perhaps a bit eclectic look.

What is so special about adding heels?

The main thing I love about heels is the additional
height, me being quite small, and the other thing is a real
fashion statement look! The black heels I opted out are from Dorothy Perkins and with its simplicity complement the dress beautifully!

Little Black Dress…

…whether it is a part of your everyday wardrobe or you’re saving it for special occasions
only, it is an elegant and on-trend choice.

Black lace dresses are perfect for a party occasion and I felt very lovely in my outfit of choice all night long. The whole look came together pretty well and I can’t wait to style this little black number next time.

What are your
best tips on how to wear lace dresses?

My Scary Experience:

I took into my head I wanted graffiti for this shoot so me and my husband were driving around trying to find a wall with a graffiti of some kind. The only one we found was in the red light district. It was middle of the day so I thought why not? Little did I know that some drivers decided to drive past us twice…and one of them even FOUR times! I felt very relieved when we were back safe in the car.

Absolutely gorgeous dress – I have no idea where this wall is (which is probably a good thing!) but it's awesome, despite the surroundings haha! I loved the La Redoute event and this dress is perfect for you.

Stylish outfit! I have a black faux fur coat almost identical to yours. I have owned it for almost ten years and it looks as good as new. It is my "going out" jacket/coat.
