I’m sure that regular readers of mine will know, that based on the amount of The Body Shop posts I’ve written, I’m a huge fan. I mean, what’s not to like? They have a great product range, covering anything from facial to foot care, as well as an amazing make up range and most of all they…
DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS!
So it comes as no surprise that when The Body Shop organised their beauty bloggers event in Leeds, I just had to be there. The last one I attended was in their White Rose Store, and it was in order to promote their limited edition Frosted Plum collection (so please do read the post).
Upon our arrival we were treated to a glass (or two 😉 ) of bubbly and it was time to mingle, to catch up with our blogging friends, take loads of pictures and just have fun.
Ahhhh, the hard live of bloggers, right!
This bloggers event was to raise awareness around the launch of their new product range, The Body Shop British Rose Collection, and to quote The Body Shop, this collection is:
“…a brilliantly British interpretation of a timeless icon of femininity.
Our organic roses are hand-picked, air-dried and then infused. Giving us
exceptional quality rose essence for our products, leaving you glowing.”
To me, this new range screams my name. The scent is soft, feminine, divine and fresh. We all know the overpowering rose scent that can give you a headache, right?! Well, this is not the case, The Body Shop British Rose collection is very gentle, soft scent that I find very girly and elegant.
I could just close my eyes and see myself sitting in a sunny summer garden, surrounded by this fresh and gentle rose scent.
After our “chat session” we were all divided into three groups, to make sure we got the most out of the experience. It also started great, why…?
I’ve become obsessed with their Spa of the world beauty range. It’s my favorite and I actually own nearly every product from this range. My all time favurite is this Egyptian Milk & Honey Batch Powder that not only smells divine but will also leave your skin rejuvenated and there is also The Body Shop’s The Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil, also from their Spa of the World Line, that I use twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Whilst this is an oil based beauty product, it soaks straight into my skin leaving no greasy texture.
During our second round, we talked about their products in general. It was time to ask a lot of questions (and try to remember as many answers).
In the third round I somehow became a “make-up model”. Their make-up artist was trying their latest make up products on me and I have to admit, I wish I had someone doing my make up every day. There is something very relaxing about “sinking” into the chair, closing your eyes and getting beautified!
|Look at me,in my work close! Ha! 🙂|
I’ve fallen in love with their eyeliner and had to get one for myself! I’ve been using it ever since as it’s so easy to use. I also have few of The Body Shop Lipsticks, especially the Colour Crush lipsticks range. The quality is amazing and so is the availabily of shades!
What about you ladies, have you tried their any beauty products from their new British Rose collection yet?
