Outfit Post: Ladylike | A lace blouse and a faux leather skirt

As I’ve already mentioned in my ‘Working girl wardrobe essentials’ outfit post, I’ve been recently looking for chic and stylish ways to update my workwear wardrobe this season. I want my wardrobe to be minimalistic, containing statement pieces that will redefine my everyday office look and make me comfortable in my own skin. I no longer shop till I drop, instead the process is more thought through with a clear end picture in my head.

Every piece I want to buy has to go with at least 4-5 items that I already own. If it doesn’t, I simply put it back on shelves. Saves me money in a longer run as I no longer have to buy more items to match the new addition.

What do you think about this rule? I would love to know how you shop for your wardrobe, ladies!

The pictures for this post were taken in a beautiful settings of Ilfracombe, in a picturesque cottage where I got to spend some time during September. My little get away this year. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the settings and my only regret was that I didn’t pack my entire wardrobe to take some more picturesque pictures.

Pairing this Zara beige skirt with beige lace blouse is the perfect mix and match of edge and professionalism that any fashionista should try every now and then.

A lace blouse is a must have for the perfect workwear wardrobe and the ultimate ladylike blouse. What is more, this soft beige colour is great transitional colour for summer to autumn dressing. You just can’t go wrong with lace when wanting to look both, chic and professional. I adore the sweet floral pattern of this blouse and the whole look has just the right amount of chicness to become me new workwear essential.

I can only highly recommend investing in a lacy blouse. Not only can it be worn right now but it also works great in any season.

You may have noticed, I’ve been rocking this faux leather skirt in few of my posts already (such as Autumn neutrals’ outfit post). It was a very good buy and I’m on the look out for more faux leather skirts as they’re so versatile. I go by the rule that no season wardrobe is complete without a leather skirt, especially the when it comes to autumn winter season.

Matching the blouse with camel shade leather skirt is all about proportion and perhaps the perfect wear for the casual office attire. This look sums me up pretty well. It’s got the right pinch of sassiness, girliness, professionalism and certainly attitude.

With a statement pieces like these two, getting dressed in the morning is about to become so much easier. What do you think, can this be the ultimate chic office outfit?
