Home has a special meaning to any of us. It’s a place where you come to relax, get together with family, celebrate with friends and create your memories.
Home. Home is where your heart is.
No matter what is our style, we all want to create that perfect oasis that helps us to re-charge our batteries. We all have our favourite shops where we come for an inspiration and where we shop to build our own nest. My all time favourite certainly is Homesense so I was over the moon when I received an invitation to their opening in Leeds. Yes, you hear me right – Homesense has now opened right in the middle of Leeds city centre!
I do like browsing HomeSense and TK Maxx for one apparent reason. Their stylish and classy furniture setting always inspires me and when I leave I’m full of ideas for our new home.
Last year we finally bought our house, two years after we set off on the adventure of our life searching for our perfect home. In that long time we actually managed to get engaged and have the most spectacular wedding but I feel like this house was worth the wait. Oh, I still remember those exciting yet stressful nights searching on Zoopla for the perfect home, seeing hundreds homes and then the long long wait for solicitors to sort out the paperwork. And don’t get me started on the day of our exchange, I was a little bundle of nerves. Now, all bad memories aside, we’re finally living in our dream home and what is more, we get to decorate it to our taste.
I always hoped for a home with a character and history. Our home is actually around 160 years old and with so much character that we don’t know what to do with it – quirky corners, stone walls and an original fireplace, you name it we have it.
A house like this deserves a very particular home decor and I just can’t imagine this quirky home to be filled with modern home accessories. It deserves to be decorated with classy and stylish home pieces that are as much unique as they’re original and timeless. And that’s the problem, you see. Where do I shop for pieces of such a high standard on a budget put together by a young starting couple?
The house of my dreams deserves designers labels, whilst my wallet screams high street. That’s why I do adorn anything that comes from Homesense.
Homesense is an astounding way to add character, atmosphere and drama to any room in your house. Any house project can be customized onto a host of different surfaces, sizes and scales. Pictures, posters, chic cushions, lamps and lampshades are all possible in this one store where your dreams come true. This is the store that helps you to create the perfect home oasis, a place that will help you to instantly transform your space and turn it into your own unique escape.
With my home, I wish that the decor we chose would simply hint at the past with a feel of a modern twist. I hope to build a home of my dreams that proves to catch my imagination with its scenes as soon as I enter.
Homesense in Leeds is one of those stores that as you as you walk in you realise there are things you’ve never even thought you needed until you actually saw them. To me, that’s not particularly a bad thing – it opens up possibilities, new doors to your imagination. That’s not all, Homesense seem to be knocking it out of the park with its stylishly designed displays so easily put together.
Homesense is a perfect store to get all you need to achieve that perfect designer home on a budget. I was totally captivated by the way they have put together their display – it almost seems easy to re-create. Every time I enter I feel like I can build that Pinterest worthy home that I dream of. A place that will welcome me after a long day at work, a place where I can spend my time with my family, a place to fill with my own memories, a place where I can rest. A place I can call a home.
What about you? What does the home of your dreams look like and where do you shop?
